Since it's "about me", the I's have it...
I am a momma of two beautiful grown children, one son and one daughter, and a step mom of one beautiful grown daughter. I am the Nana to three perfect little boys. I am the wife of the most charming and precious English man with dimples you've ever seen. I am a life-long artist of many genres and a believer in many things! And I am a bit of a gypsy. I am a spiritual being and I love looking at the stars on a clear night. I live in the mountains in Northwestern North Carolina with my husband, our 2 fat older cats and our teenaged younger kitty. I love good coffee with honey and real cream. I love color - lots and lots of color! And I love to be happy, so whimsy is in most of my art.
My first artistic career was in performing arts. I was a musician and a professional dancer. I have been blessed with great fortune all of my life. Upon approaching hanging up my tutu and tiara, wondering "what now?", I met Chrissie Grace who introduced me to mosaic art. I fell in love with one of Chrissie's pieces, and from there it was pure passion for mosaic work. Chrissie has been such a wonderful mentor. Mosaic art has evolved in to more mixed media art for me ... and I also love sewing and making fabric stuff, which is a throw back to costume making I suppose. Oh, and I am a weaver and currently weave at the Crossnore Weaving Room in Crossnore, NC, as well as at home. My husband, Paul is an ornamental iron designer and welder, and we have a great deal of fun in art together. He is filled with wonderful ideas and a spirit that is fun and free. He is the most wonderful person I know and a perfect partner to share this journey with. We love our life. And we really do believe Life is Good.
Thanks for dropping by.
