After the pretty part ...

I made a couple of journals last week, as you know.
I finished this one for a very special woman.
This is a definite inspiration/art journal.  And it was absolutely delightful to create.
And I loved every minute of it.
Just one of the many pages inside
But now I must move on to some other sewing things ... table runners, tea towels, book marks, mementos and stuff for a booth we are setting up.  So I walked into my beautifully well lit and happy dining room to sew and was hit in the reality with this!

Holy smokes! We have a saying in our house ... "the cats must've done it".  As my momma used to say, "Land sakes alive!"  I guess I really do use a lot of supplies when I create an inspiration journal.  You are not even seeing all the paper for pages that went along with this!

Good grief! What. a. mess.  When the weather is warm, this is all contained in my studio.  But as my studio is a redo of a sleeping porch over the garage in a 1924 house, it is FREEZING in the winter, even with heat.  And the light in the dining room is glorious in the winter.  And I love hanging out in there with all the plants.  So ... as you guessed, it took me the entire day to clean up my mess!  But I got to reorganize and even do this - thanks to Pinterest!

What an easy way to deal with ALL the ribbon I use!  It really works!
Now I am ready to regain some ground with creating what's next in a positively clean and organized environment.

Blessings to all who were devastated by yesterday's crazy wrath from Mother Nature.  (I think the entire thing is symbolic by that dining room table and the saying, "it looks like a tornado hit it").  May you all find comfort and healing...
and for the rest of us as well.
Happy Weekend to all!
