So far

So far I have been able to get to this point on my window quilt progress.  I'm LOVING making it - and pretty pleased with the results so far.  I'm hoping to get a much bigger portion finished tonight!  But I just want to say, it's very time consuming - also very therapeutic and fun.  It makes me happy.  What more can I say?
I will post more photos as the progress continues ... but I'm hoping to be finished by week's end.  Why, you ask?  So I can begin another one.  I'm am really loving these.  Yay!  It's soooo wonderful to be inspired and enthused and looking FORWARD to doing work.  Loving my job, I am! (Yoda has arrived, apparently).
Photography sessions, part 2 (a.k.a. intermediate digital photography) class began this morning.  It's going to be incredibly helpful.  I can tell by the vocabulary that is being thrown around in there.  I will be lucky to understand 1/3 of it, but I'm hanging in there for whatever I can get out of it.  I know Rome wasn't built in a day ... and I seem to be starting over with a lot of things in my life, so I'm just going forward when I can.  We went around the room telling what we're looking to get out of the class.  We have A LOT to cover!
Most of you know we are a cat friendly household.  We have 2 fat cats who moved with us from Orlando to the mountains here in the High Country.  They are strictly indoor boys and seem mostly happy about life in general.  The cat in the top of the photo above is our oldest boy.  He's our "Queen" as we fondly refer to his personality.  The kitty in the bottom is our newest arrival.  And he actually adopted us.  He showed up on the porch a little over a year ago and has basically never left (except to go to the vet to get neutered and vaccinated).  Let me be very clear when I say, these two are NOT friends.  But last night I walked into our den, and this is what I found!  It is noteworthy in my opinion!  And it is noteworthy for a lot of reasons, first of which is something I firmly believe ---- Miracles do, indeed happen!! Our third boy isn't pictured here today, he's a "scaredy cat" for real!  We'll talk about him later.
And this is a serious curled up sleeping cat!  Brings a new vision to "cuddle up", doesn't it?  I'm just not this flexible any more.   :-/
So today I am particularly grateful for being able to meet new people, well ... people I've never met before.  There was an entire room filled with new acquaintances at school this morning.  It is lovely to meet so many talented, friendly, intelligent people who all have a common interest! And I am also thankful for the "already made" acquaintances, who include our instructor (the wonderful Todd Bush) and the students who took part 1 in the last session when I did.  What a lovely treasure.
Blessings!
